Club Trips for 2026!

Prairie Riders will venture north this winter! We currently have two trips planned! Please join us and let’s ride!

Hayward, WI – January 29-February 1

We will be staying at Oak Shores Resort on the Chippewa Flowage in Hayward, WI. The trails in the Hayward area are among the very best in Wisconsin. Club members will meet at Chief Lake Lodge on Friday, january 30th at 6 p.m. to enjoy dinner and drinks. The good news is this is only 5 minutes from Oak Shores! Chad and Wendy, owners of Oak Shores have created a gathering space at the resort and we will be welcome to use that area to get together on Saturday night also. Join us for a weekend of fun!

Manitowish Waters, WI – February 23-26th

Next stop, Manitowish Waters! The club will be staying at various locations in MW. Some are at the Pea Patch Motel and Saloon, The Lodge, and also at various AirBNBs. Meet ups are being planned for each night and you know you can always find us at the Pea Patch later in the evening! Let’s ride those beautiful Vilas and Iron County Trails together!

First Aid – What to do if someone if injured on the trail!

Prairie Riders hosted a first aid presentation for snowmobilers at 6 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2024 (before our meeting at 7 p.m.) at the Brat Stop.

Lt. Mark Ericson from the Bristol Fire Department gave us an introduction to trail side first aid with an emphasis on “Stopping the Bleed”. Bristol Fire and Rescue is willing to teach anyone interested in this topic or learning CPR, fire safety, etc. Just reach out to them. Here are a few photos from the presentation.

Oh what fun we have! Christmas 2023

On Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, the club gathered to celebrate the holiday season together. Over 80 members attended the dinner at The Birchwood Grill in Kenosha. Santa made a visit and all children 12 and under received a present! The club held silent auctions, raffles and did a collection of items and money for Women and Children’s Horizons, a local charity that helps victims of sexual violence and abuse. We collected over $500 cash and hundreds of dollars worth of items! It was a great night for our amazing club!

Businesses have the opportunity to support snowmobiling by becoming a corporate sponsor. Any business can become a Prairie Riders Corporate Sponsor for $50. By doing this, you not only belong to one of the largest and most active snowmobile clubs in the area, but you also become a sponsor of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC) and receive a host of benefits for very little expense.

(You do not need a PayPal account to use this.) After receiving your completed Corporate Sponsorship form, we will submit your business to the AWSC.

For the 2025-2026 season, our club meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings will be held in the Wisconsin Room, at The Brat Stop, Kenosha, Wis., unless otherwise noted below.

Manitowish Waters Trip in February

Head to Manitowish Waters, Wis., for a sweet time with your Valentine on the snowmobile trails. Join the Prairie Riders on February 7-10, 2025, for a club trip organized by Tom and Leigh Ann Petrusky.
